The  Retail Operations Associate will partner the General Manager, supporting and guiding the direction of the retail function in the store to ensure the store is operating efficiently and effectively and within Company policies and guidelines.

 The  Retail Operations Associate must understand the entire retail function including the employee dynamic and continuously seek opportunities to develop and grow the an efficient and effective environment.

Core Responsibilities:

Retail Operations:

* Assists in creating policies and procedures for store teams to follow

* Successful on-boards store employees, ensuring that adequate information and resource is provided

* Consistently looks for opportunities to streamline and improve working efficiencies

* Reviews store operations and organization, analyzing information and making sound suggestion to improve operational management of store

* Ensures Fire Safety & Health & Safety procedures are in place and followed

* Supports the setup of in store events to ensure successful execution  

Store & Office Maintenance:

* Manages cleaning companies & third party suppliers used for store 

* Identifies, manages and schedules contractors to carry out work in store, ensuring a thorough job is completed

* Defines back of house ways of working and monitors to ensure that store is acting in accordance

* Regularly reviews supplier services and identifies opportunities to reduce costs or improve service

* Acts on store emergencies to ensure alterations and service are executed in a timely manner

* Liaises with Security on store issues to ensure the business is adequately protected

* Acts as point of contact with security guard firms and ensures rotation of security guards

Client Experience:

* Ensures back of house standards are maintained to enable the best client experience

* Identifies opportunities to improve client experience, collaborating with retail teams and General Manager

* Considers client experience in all aspects of retail operations work

Stock & Inventory:

* Prepares for and plans out the bi-annual inventory checks across store

* Puts in place a process for systematic inventory checks and ensures retail teams carry out required checks

* Supports store with inventory checks and reconciliations

* Supports store leading into preparation for sale and the transfer out of sale

Logistics & Supplies

* Streamlines ordering of supplies and seeks cost saving alternatives

* Manages all courier and shipping accounts and ensures team follow guidelines

* Maintains inventory levels of packaging in central warehouse and across store

* Follows up on shipping or logistic issues when required to support retail teams

* Evaluates shipping suppliers and couriers to ensure most efficient and cost effective service is in place

Digital Store: 

Maintaining E-Commerce Store, including uploading images, answering customer questions, processing payments and shipping items.

Please note the above tasks are to provide an indication of the expected tasks but this list is not exhaustive of all activities. As this is a new role and due to the nature of the role in supporting the structure, there will be flexibility for additional tasks to be added to this list of duties.

* Previous experience of retail operations and helping a retail business operate efficiently

* Experience of leading or developing a team is highly advantageous

* Experience of delivering & establishing high standards of customer service

* Highly organized and has strong attention to detail

* Is strategic and able to consider the wider business impact of decisions

* Highly motivated and is able to work independently or as part of a team

* A highly talented and creatively driven individual with a successful performance record and a demonstrated ability to deliver retail excellence

* Confident strong leader, innovative with visionary business sense and style

* Sound analytical and organizational skills

* Fluent in English, other languages a plus
