I’ve always been drawn to Italian designers and love the look of Dolce and Gabbana.  For every day clothes, I like Derek Lam.

 What motivates you?
I love the consulting world because I’m always learning about new industries and new business models.  I like working with people who think differently than I do because there’s always so much to learn from them.

What does your ideal Sunday morning look like?
I like to start the day with a good walk outside and then come home to a nice cup of coffee and the paper.  We’re a big game-playing family too so there’s a good chance we’ll be playing cards.

What actor did you have a crush on growing up?
In high school, I was in love with Billy idol. Early 20s, Luke Perry in Beverly Hills 90201.

What is your favorite thing about yourself?
(My)resiliency

What does your perfect “day off” look like?
I work from home a lot so on my day off, I like to be out of the house, away from my office and the kitchen.  I love to listen to live music or go to sporting event – just something different and I don’t mind crowds.

If there are two types of people in this world – those who like Neil Diamond and those who don’t – where do you fall?
I listened to Neil Diamond all through college (along with a lot of rap and alternative music so go figure).   My friend and I saw him in concert in our 20s. We were about 40 years younger than the average concert goer.

What were some highlights of your career starting out?
I remember closing my first big order as a salesperson for GE  – I remember the order coming over the fax and feeling very proud. Also had the opportunity to travel to Japan and work with Sony when I was doing business development for software company – really interesting to see business conducted in a very different culture.

What was the best concert you’ve seen?
Red Hot Chilli Peppers during the By The Waytour.  And Oasis.

What vineyard produces your favorite bottle of wine?
I like wines by Silas Winery but honestly, I’m more of a cocktail gal.

What is the best advice anyone has ever given you?
I was always told as a child to believe in myself and that I could do anything.  I believed it and rarely shied away from a challenge.

What were some challenges you needed to overcome?
Being a young woman selling big industrial equipment to mostly men in manufacturing environments had its challenges. But over time, I developed great relationships with my clients.
